An important part of our ethos is that we are open to anyone who wants to train hard. We will do everything we can to not let our differences get in the way of this single shared goal. With this in mind, if you think you can't afford our prices, but wish to train then please get in touch and explain your situation. We will do our utmost to work something out.
Anyone who wants to train should be free to train.
See our prices page for further details.
What should I wear for training?
You may be exerting yourself a lot during training, so should wear clothes that allow freedom of movement and that will not cause you to overheat. Loose fitting clothing is generally best. We do not wear socks when training.
Alternately, you can purchase a Gi (training outfit) from us at a cost of £15. Ask your instructor for details.
What should I do if I can’t make it to training?
If possible, try and call ahead and let your instructor know that you won’t be attending.
Do I have to be at a certain level of fitness before I come to my first class?
We aim to accomodate everyone, regardless of your level of fitness. When you come to class you can talk through any concerns with your instructor. You will never be asked to do anything that we do not think you are safely capable of doing. You know yourself better than anyone, and you will be encouraged to listen to your body, to heed its messages and to ultimately define your own pace.
What should I do if I am concerned about my/my child’s progress?
Speak to your instructor, either before or after class. They will be happy to talk through your concerns. Be assured that this will not be taken personally, and you will never be treated differently because of any concerns you express.
Will I be required to go to a grading at any point?
We do not have any gradings. See here.
Where can I get full copies of GANBAROU!’s policies and procedures?
Printed copies of all policies and procedures are available on request.
Electronic copies can be obtained here.
If you have any further questions, then please feel free to get in touch.
