Our Ethos
We are guided by timeless moral principles. Our approach has its forebears in the spirit of bushido (the code of the samurai) and of chivalry (the code of the Knight), both of which place emphasis on virtues such as honour, obedience, duty and self-sacrifice. They aimed to produce an individual who was an asset to society; who could always be relied upon to act in the interests of the greater good and defend the moral principles that they held close to their heart.
Much has changed since these systems were dreamt up, but society is as in need of virtuous individuals as it ever was. The moral imperatives of bushido and chivalry remain as important as ever. Our warriors of today may be more likely to carry a pen than a sword, but the values that guide them are, at heart, no different from what they were then.
"GANBAROU!" means "Let's do our best!", and it neatly sums up our attitude towards training and towards life.
